1. Live in the moment.
The present is what’s happening right now, and that’s really all there is. Lama said, “there are only two days in the year that nothing can be done, One is called Yesterday, and the other is called Tomorrow”, The only time we can live, act, do, or make a difference is right now, Life is only available in the present moment, The past is just a memory, and the future is merely a projection.
2. Be good selflessly.
Always do good things for others out of sheer, and never for the benefits that you may obtain from it. Good done on your part, always brings good back to you tenfold.
3. Be compassionate.
The meaning of compassion is to recognize the suffering of others, and then take action to help them. Compassion embodies a tangible expression of love for those who are suffering. Never ever treat anyone the way you do not want to be treated, Before making a perception about someone, take a step back and try to understand, why the person is behaving the way he is, and what life is dealing with him. True compassion has no expectation of reward, or even a simple "thank you" attached to it.
4. Be patient.
Things that are best for you in life, will take time to happen, hence there is no good in rushing things, You cannot force things to happen, You must give your 100% effort in everything that you do, and hope that the outcome is in your favor.
5. Meditate regularly.
Meditation is not about becoming a different person, a new person, or even a better person, It is about training in awareness, and getting a healthy sense of perspective, You are not trying to turn off your thoughts or feelings, You are learning to observe them, without judgment, And eventually, you may start to understand better them as well, and start seeing things very clearly. After start meditating every day, Your mind clears up, and you become wiser along the time.
6. Stop overthinking.
One thing that is for sure is, overthinking will bring you nothing in this life, but more and more problems. It will mess up your mind, and make it a scary place for you to live with. Whatever happens, it is for some reason, you have to believe in that and, believe in that process.
7. Always think before you take a step.
A step taken in any direction can hardly be undone. So always think before you act, You have to think twice or thrice, before you decide to do any stuff, because we can go wrong if we only think once, So you have to think twice or thrice.
8. Humility is important.
The humble you are, the easier the life gets. You must not be egoistic. Since ego is the starting point for all problems, we have with our known ones, An important element of humility is accepting yourself with all your faults, rather than judging yourself for your shortcomings.
9. Stop regretting your past.
No doubt how you are today is only because of your past, but that doesn’t in any sense, that you have got to live in that past. You need to get out of your past life as soon as possible, since it would only hinder your mental growth and development.
10. Get a sound sleep regularly.
After all the exhaustion your body goes through along the course of the day, what it needs the most is, a good night’s sleep in the night. It is your sole duty towards your body, the only true home of yours to provide it good sleep, Always dont let other things eat away your peace time.
